ADI: Handheld ($1,415 plus shipping; 3 gal), Starter (25–40 gal), Professional (60–200 gal). Specifications, heating, accessories, and storage needs vary by bundle. Skids need suitable mounting and transport. Product information checked October 20 2026.
*Large aircraft deicing trucks only—not all competing equipment. New-truck examples: commercial price list, November 2025, p. 119 ($760,625.28); airport procurement proposal, August 2025, p. 3 ($585,704). These dated examples support “can exceed,” not a market average or a current quote. Used trucks may cost less. Other suppliers also sell portable equipment.
Get the equipment your operation actually needs.
Buy the capacity you need.
Choose from handheld, cart, and skid options based on the aircraft you serve and how often you deice. Match your purchase to your workload.
Skip the dedicated deicing truck.
ADI’s handheld and cart options give you another way to add capability without buying and maintaining a full-size deicing vehicle.
Keep equipment on hand.
Give your team access to its own equipment instead of relying entirely on outside availability.
Explore Handheld, Starter, and Professional configurations.
Ownership still requires preparation, heating time where applicable, training, inspections, and operation within aircraft, fluid, equipment, and weather limits.
No equipment purchase. The same limitations.
Keeping your current setup avoids a new equipment purchase. If you already wait for outside service, turn away deicing requests, or lack suitable equipment, those gaps remain.
- Is deicing available when your aircraft need it?
- Can your current setup serve the aircraft you handle?
- Are you turning away requests you could otherwise serve?
Questions before you choose
Do I need a large deicing truck for a small aviation operation?
Not every operation needs one. ADI offers handheld sprayers, mobile carts, and skids. Start with your aircraft access, fluid, workload, and refill plan. A handheld or cart can add capability without a dedicated deicing truck; a skid needs a suitable mounting and transport arrangement.
How much does ADI equipment cost?
The 3-gallon Handheld bundle is $1,415 plus shipping. Starter bundles start at $3,995 plus LTL shipping, and Professional bundles start at $9,535 plus LTL shipping. Your final quote depends on the configuration and accessories.
Can portable equipment handle my aircraft?
That depends on the aircraft, operating procedure, fluid, and usable access—not just tank size or hose length. ADI carts and skids do not include an elevated work platform. Confirm the required surfaces can be reached from an appropriate operating position before selecting equipment.
What capacity should I choose?
ADI offers 3-gallon handheld equipment, 25- and 40-gallon Starter carts, 60- and 200-gallon Professional carts, and 60- and 110-gallon Professional skids. Choose around aircraft mix, actual fluid use, workload, and refill opportunities. There is no universal aircraft-per-tank figure.
What power, heating, fluid, and accessories will I need?
Confirm the exact fluid and task first. Pump power and heater power are separate requirements: Starter offers electric-pump or gas-engine configurations, while immersion heaters require the specified electrical supply. Compare the model’s heater, hose, nozzle, reel, storage, and accessory requirements with your site. Allow for preparation, heating, inspections, training, and weather limitations.
When does a large deicing truck make sense?
A large truck may be appropriate when greater fluid capacity, sustained throughput, or elevated access is required. Those capabilities can justify owning and maintaining the vehicle. Compare complete setups that meet the same operational need; an ADI ground cart is not a replacement for required elevated access.
